I see an ending and a fork in the road ahead.
Ending: Bizz
After a short session on Bumble dating I switched to their relatively new feature called “Bizz”. Yes, an effort to expand business contacts. Within 24 hours of opening my “bizz” profile I had over 50 contacts who liked my profile. Possibly exciting news.
On closer inspection the majority of these potential contacts were self proclaimed financial professionals. Working in the finance industry. Additionally, almost all of these individuals were seeking contacts who want to learn more about money and thrive financially.
Above all, the item that caught my eye was their images. In fact, they all had a similar group image. At the center of this group was a nice looking male in a cheap shiny suit. In addition, many of them also had selfies with this person.
And so, I was able to connect 6 accounts to one group photo. All of these (6) individuals were in the same photo. In addition, I was able to connect other accounts from the numerous selfies with this male in the cheap shiny suit.
Unfortunately, Bumble bizz has a multi-level marketing issue in their membership. Although, there are some good individuals in bizz. It requires effort to carefully sift through the fodder.
Ending: Quora
In all honesty, possibly the worst place to share professional advice and information. The end.
A Fork
How long is necessary to determine if a business idea is going to be successful? Additionally, do businesses fail for lack of effort? Or, does effort cease because the business failed?
The Answer Is Yes
Interesting questions to ponder. And, something I have been working through recently.
Common Reasons for Business Failure:
- Running out of cash (lack of capital)
- Failing to assemble a good team
- Missing the pivot – I dislike this word, pivot. They fail to adjust strategy to meet market demand
- Pricing products incorrectly
- Having financial and general management issues
- No one wants their product or service
Common Mistakes Entrepreneurs Make
- Attempting to do it all by yourself
- Failing to focus on marketing
- Getting your target market wrong
Indeed, if you are an entrepreneur and you are making some of these mistakes Congratulations! This means you are trying.
Above all, keep trying.
If Things Just Will Not Work
An Action Plan, answer these questions:
- Are you focused on your customers needs?
- Reassess your target market, are my products focused on this markets needs?
- Who can I have join my team and assist my efforst?
- What is my marketing budget and strategy?
- Have you put your best foot forward, or are you holding back?
With this in mind, take another small step forward. Then, reassess.
And so, one day when all of these factors align the bull will buck. Consequently, you will look back at that fork in the road and understand what the critical change was.
