Today is a day of remembrance. Remembrance of the fight for choice.
A tribute to those who fought for our rights and freedoms, and most importantly those who were lost in this fight during war.
In Flanders Fields, a tribute to the fallen of WWI, includes this stanza:
“Take up our quarrel with the foe!
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high!
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.”
This stanza in a call to arms. A call to action for future generations to continue to fight and protect our God given rights and freedoms.
A Warning
This stanza comes with a warning that if we the readers of this poem do not carry the torch, continue the good fight, the dead will not rest.
This year when reading In Flanders Fields, I can’t help but think about the state of our world in the past 9 months. I can’t help but wonder if we have collectively taken up the quarrel with the wrong foe. Is it possible we have allowed ourselves to be tricked and misguided but people and organizations we believed we could trust?
How many rights and freedoms do you feel you have this year?
Wars have been fought for political power plays at the expense of the people. In the background to all war and uprising there have been dark influences which have created hierarchies of power, imbalance and injustice. Since WWII military forces have been used to fight economic war that continue to this day. Following 9/11 there was a shift in warfare where the sights of the forces turned internally. In countries and corporation’s security threat assessments began stating that “the largest threat to security we face is the threat within”. Security, screening, biometrics, tracking, big data, profiling. Even DNA databases from services initiated for personal use and ancestry have become accessible to enforcement bodies without your consent.
People Are Now Living Imprisoned by Fear.
Civil wars and domestic uprisings have been fought to protect the rights of the people.
The world became very adept at tracking our every move, knowing where we were and what topics of interest we would seek out on the internet. Security protection measures were put in place globally to protect countries and a new war began that is called the “war on terror”.
As terror events occurred in our world further steps were taken to create security which led to further trespass into rights and freedoms of individuals. All happening behind cloaked doors and progressively without the average person having awareness to the changes.
This year we watch as governments force restrictions based on bad science, media continues to lie, the general population turns on itself and has failed to identify the true cause of our unrest.
Who are the people with power and control who are choosing to mislead us?
Where Can You Find Truth?
Today might be a day where you could take some time to find a piece of truth about this world that we now live in and raise your awareness to our current realities and the true war being fought. The foe is not your neighbor. The foe is not the lady in the supermarket without a mask. These people, like you, have no control and have not taken responsibility for their power.
The ongoing fight for your rights and freedoms with the current powers which you can not uncloak.
God gave you the rights and freedoms and with that comes choice. The choice to take responsibility for the state of our world and the choice to help create a better future.
Finally, the door to that better future opens when we seek truth.
