Some life lessons are learned the hard way. What if every Hollywood movie made in the past 80 years opened with Based on True Events and every mainstream media product was viewed as entertainment?
I enjoy movies based on real life stories, particularly ones with historic value or anything that deepens the understanding of humanity.
Additionally, I purchase a Saturday newspaper for the financials and occasionally scan the rest of the paper to see what current events seem interesting. It is true, I prefer the free newspapers my usual airline would give me on flights.
I have not flown since this past summer which has been a nice break from the redeye flights, frequent cross-country and international trips with the missed time at home.
I Do Not Watch Television Programming or News Networks
To explain, I have always found them to be too manipulative and I did not understand why I had this issue until this year.
In brief, in the early 1900’s propaganda was governmentalized in the free democratic countries.
To this end, corporations were created to present information in a specific way for a specific purpose to audiences globally. Soviet countries coined terms such as disinformation.
Undoubtedly, most people know of propaganda being used as war measures against other countries, you may have heard of Mockingbird, Operation INFEKTION or any of a wide variety of initiatives designed to divide people and create a much-needed villain for the global narrative.
We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.

Some Stories Create a Disconnect Within Me
I do not want to believe some of what has happened in our world. This is called cognitive dissonance.
Cognitive dissonance is the discomfort caused by the clash of new information with information a person already had and believes to be true. It is the disconnect between belief and truth and your subconscious mind struggling to find consistency between these pieces of information.
Many people disconnect from the new information and continue with their current beliefs and maintain their comfort.
This passive approach, in our current world, will only delay the discomfort we are destined to live through as the truth continues to be uncovered.

Moreover, for a very long time by people we believed to be trustworthy.

Give yourself the time you need to disconnect and absorb new information that is made available to you in the coming months and year.

I was a fan of Disney (DIS). I have fond memories of watching Disney with my family every week and I have always liked how the movies leave the viewer on a high note. They created hope in me. In the past few years, I have held stock in Disney for my daughter and I use this stock to teach her about investments and creating income without selling her time.
In My Pursuit of Truth
I came to learn that Disney is part of the propaganda machine.
Many of these facts are troubling. To keep it in context of financial freedom and gaining independence from time slavery I quote this from the included files on Disney:
Disney also mentioned that his company is currently producing a television series known as the “Mickey Mouse Club” televised daily over the American Broadcasting Network. This program is designed for child audiences and it is Disney’s desire to acquaint American children with various employment opportunities in numerous fields of American endeavor.
Not In Itself Damning
However, continue your research and with this context consider again the propaganda machine. Take a minute to investigate what is referred to as the Alice In Wonderland method from the declassified Kubark Interrogation Manual.
Yes, we came from propaganda to Disney to MK-ULTRA and a war machine turned inward on the people. But worse. The children!
And so, as I came to understand the role of this corporation in our world I could no longer hold it as an investment.
Part of my financial philosophy is every dollar we spend is a vote and part of my investment policy is invest in companies you understand and believe in.
For these reasons, I can not back this companies products. I will not spend my money there. And my daughter and I agree it is not a company we choose to back financially any longer.
We sold my and my daughters holdings in DIS, although their financial performance has been poor this past year with park closures and loss of revenue the markets took a sudden and unexpected upturn this past week that we have both benefited from.
